The government say- 'We are currently testing the service with people who:

 

want to appeal a decision about a Personal Independent Payment; and live in one of the following areas: Bedfordshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, East Sussex, Hertfordshire, Kent, the Midlands, Norfolk, Oxfordshire, Suffolk.'

 

Other changes- The Courts and Tribunals (Judiciary and Functions of Staff ) Bill Allow tribunal staff to carry out some of the functions which are currently the role of judges, for example whether to postpone a hearing or ask the DWP for more evidence prior to hearing . Also the President of the Tribunals Service will have the power to decide on the composition of tribunals, including the number

of people sitting on them.
