More Advice for Decision makers has been issued- , ADM memo- 17/22
This memo provides guidance on the Social Security (Additional Payments) Act 20221. The Act came into force on
28.6.22 and extends to England and Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
There 1. is no entitlement decision and 2. Are no rights of appeal in respect of these payments
...there is no claims process for persons to follow to claim the additional payments.
Cost of living payments- most should have already received the frst installment of £326 in July 2022..
No account is to be taken of any cost of living additional payments when considering a person’s entitlement to a means tested social security beneft
Additional disability cost of living payment- £150 to those entitled to one of the following on 25/2/2022-
Attendance Allowance
Constant Attendance Allowance Disability Living Allowance for adults Disability Living Allowance for children Personal Independence Payment Adult disability payment (Scotland) Child disability payment (Scotland) Armed Forces independent payment War pension mobility supplement.
Wales- urgent act now-Unpaid Carers Extra Payment
'The registration period for the £500 payment to unpaid carers will reopen on 15th August and remain open until September 2nd2022.
Unpaid carers who were receiving Carer’s Allowance on 31 March 2022 have this fnal chance to make a claim if they have not done so already. There is no change to the eligibility criteria. Unpaid carers must contact their local authority to register before the new closing date
I hope that re-opening the registration period will allow more unpaid carers who were in receipt of Carers Allowance on March 31st to beneft from this payment.'
