The government has changed the date clients on ESA(income related) or ESA(income related) and Housing Benefit are due to undertake managed migration. Here's the latest timetable-

Help for migration- clients are given a 3 month window to claim (+one month for final deadline day).

Week 7 |
a reminder letter is sent if the customer has not already made a claim for UC. |
Week 10 |
if no claim is made, then an SMS text reminder is sent. If no valid phone number is held,this reminder reverts to a letter. |
Week 12 |
if still no claim is made, those on ESA / IS will receive a text at week 12 to advise them that DWP will be phoning them. Three attempts (on different days) will be made to contact the household to offer support. |
No contact made |
Where no contact is made, DWP will refer ESA households for a home visit. For Income Support customers, legacy systems will be checked to identify any additional needs and if any are identified, a referral for home visit will be made.
