Pip- back log- Citizens Advice have highlighted a problem with delays to processing for PIP claims-
'the waiting list for an assessment is now at an eye-watering 327,000 people, with an average waiting time of 5 months. Citizens Advice projects this means £294m of payments that would be awarded are being held
up. ......There are more people coming to Citizens Advice for help with PIP than with any other issue - 41% more than the next highest issue.

No Stats on the Work Capability Asssessment for Universal Credit-

Work and Pensions Secretary Dr Thérèse Coffey has said '‘There are currently no plans to develop offcial statistics on UC claimants undergoing a WCA. While we will keep this position under review, I anticipate there will be fewer resources available and I am not committing to developing new statistics at this time.’' This is a worry as many of you have explained during training anecdotally that clients are having trouble presenting as sick when on Universal Credit. Book Now -Benefits and Mental Health 2022
