May 2023 figures for the Benefit Cap show- 86,000 households had their benefts capped in GB: 79,000 were capped on UC and 7,400 were capped on HB...The majority of the decrease is due to the increased beneft cap levels which were implemented from April 2023... this was a decrease of 22% (24,000) in the latest quarter to May 2023, when compared to the previous quarter (February 2023).
