Increase - Local Housing Allowances
Local Housing Allowances restrict both Universal credit housing elements(monthly) and Housing Beneft(weekly) for the private rented sector. The rates were last increased in April 2020 and are due to be increased to the 30th percentile of rents in your broad rental market area from April 2024.
Many Legacy Benefits Ending Soon
The end of (most) legacy benefits in sight?
Almost all existing claimants of legacy benefts are due to start to begin managed migration over to UC by the end of 2024/25. An exception is those on Employment and Support Allowance only and Employment and Support Allowance with Housing Beneft; they are not due to begin managed migration until 2028.
